  • With the fortress offer magnificent views of the city and Lake Shkodra, as well as on the river Buna and Drina. Founded by Illyrians in antiquity, rebuilt and strengthened much later by the Venetians, and later by the Turks. Ancient legend has it that this stronghold built three brothers, but all they had time to build day, mysteriously collapsed during the night. The wise old man, accidentally disposed of unlucky problems architects, gave them the Council for the erection of forts that would stand for centuries-sacrifice heaven and be immured alive in recalcitrant walls the first girl that fits to the builders of the next morning. Circumstances were such that it turned out to be the wife of Rozafa's younger brother. Girl just fine with fiery her unenviable plight, but has requested commit Rite so that she was able to breast-feed her son. A terrible victim was brought, and the brothers were able to finally build a fortress, which was named in honor of the dead Rozafy. That's just the stones at the foot of the strongholds are constantly covered with moisture, like milk continues to drip drops on the ancient walls. Some nursing women come to the fortress to smear breast milk with water, which seeps from the walls within a few months of the year.
